Amy and Jason

A destination wedding in the French Quarter. Short, sweet, Intimate. A few close friends mixed in with a fun crowd. An evening to remember, starting at the Inn on Bourbon, Amy got ready along with her maid of honor. A quick taxi to the St. Louis Hotel for the evening ceremony.

Jason was ready to roll, of course a walk down Bourbon St. was the way to go for these two guys. Nothing wrong with a stroll down a street littered with bars, strip joints, drink in hand on the way to say your wedding vows... Really!

The out of town cajun bride loved the cake with the fleur de lis decorations!

Time to walk down the aisle.
A small, intimate gathering for special vows.

Best wishes to the new Mr and Mrs!

Renee

Renee's wedding has already come and gone. It was a great celebration, the beginning of a wonderful journey. However, she decided to do bridal pictures afterward, not to worry if the dress got dirty. This is what is referred to as "Trash the Dress" We don't really mess it up on purpose. No flames or scissors are involved. However, we (as in the bride) don't worry about it....Lean against a tree, let the dress hang over a bridge, lay on a car... no worries.... great pictures!!!

Snow Day in New Orleans!!!

On Thursday, December 11, 2008 it snowed in New Orleans!! A rare occurrence, the snow started in the morning about 8:15 am. I had a portrait sitting in the afternoon, so that morning was all play with the kids. This photo was taken on the lake Pontchartrain levee near West End.

We stopped near Canal Blvd where the Snow was thick and untouched. Great for snowmen and snow angels!

The Peristyle in City Park was a wonderland when the snow was coming down like salt on grits!

I like the way the red roses showed their colors thru the snow, bringing a black and white photo to life.

A "landmark" on West End Blvd, the house with the blue roof shed its coat of snow quickly.... yet the neutral ground was fluffy and asking for attention.

Mardi Gras 2024

Every year for Mardi Gras, we head down to the French Quarter in the morning for coffee and beignets at Cafe' du Monde, then to the squa...
